Oya salon’s annual Eve of Hope is coming again this October.
Eve of Hope, the main event, will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Sunset Center in Carmel. It will be a romantic evening of fashion, fellowship, food and fun with a festive South American theme with tango performances to entertain us for the evening. We are delighted to present 20 models – each one a local breast cancer survivor – who will model a range of fashions from Élan at The Lodge, Pebble Beach. The evening will include a Silent Auction featuring raffle items donated by generous members of our community. All proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Assistance Group of the Monterey Peninsula (BCAG), a local 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization (run by breast cancer survivors) that provides much-needed special assistance grants to help improve the lives of local breast cancer patients and their families.
In addition, our sixth Annual series of events to celebrate survivorship includes the Day of Healing. The Day of Healing will be held at Oya on Sunday, October 21 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Oya staff and community volunteers will provide a variety of complementary styling and therapeutic treatments to rejuvenate the soul, including: make up, acupuncture seeds, scarf tying, pharmaceutical consults, hand massage, hair styling, brow tutorials, mini massages and more!
Eve of Hope tickets are $50. Any donations can be made through the BCAG’s website.
